  • Multiple copies of the assessment report.

Please note that assessments, letters, or reports are NOT able to be provided for family law or legal purposes.

Learning Difficulties

A learning difficulty can impact how your child takes in, processes, and remembers information. Some of the most common forms of learning difficulties include reading and spelling, but can also include mathematics and spoken language. Not all children who experience learning difficulties are diagnosed with a learning disorder; however, if you are concerned your child is having difficulty in the classroom, a learning assessment may be worthwhile.

Often parents or carers are concerned that a learning difficulty impairs their child's ability to achieve academically. A learning difficulty does not mean your child has low intelligence. A cognitive assessment can assess for a possible learning difficulty, explore cognitive strengths and difficulties, and assist in developing effective strategies to allow your child to achieve to the best of their ability.

Behaviour Concerns

Challenging behaviours can present in a variety of ways, such as aggression, verbal opposition, socially inappropriate behaviours, tantrums, and emotion dysregulation. All behaviour is a form of communication, including behaviours of concern.

We understand it can be stressful, confronting, and overwhelming for families and carers when a child or young person is experiencing challenging behaviours. We can provide comprehensive behavioural assessments, therapy, and support plans that, through the collaborative involvement of teachers and other allied health professionals, can assist in managing risks and developing effective responses to challenging behaviour.

ADHD

ADHD is a divergent neurotype that regulates attention and emotions in different ways. If you have noticed that you or your child has difficulty with attention, concentration, frequent fidgeting, impulsive behaviours, or emotion regulation, it may be helpful to speak with us about an ADHD assessment.

Autism

Autism is a divergent neurotype with differences in social communication, repetitive behaviours/interests, and sensory needs. If you have noticed you or your child has difficulty with social communication, understanding, or expressing emotions and has unusually restricted interests, it may be helpful to speak with us about an autism assessment.

Autistic individuals can be easily misunderstood. A comprehensive assessment of autism can help develop an understanding of you or your child’s behaviour and needs, and provide guidance around how to best support an individual with an autistic neurotype.

Your child may be eligible for National Disability Insurance (NDIS) financial assistance, which you can discuss with us at your appointment.
